The place was absolutely beautiful, and it was a unique experience.  The staff was great.  The Inn at Volcano helped make our honeymoon more perfect.  I would really like to go back someday.  I would very much recommend someone stay at the Inn at Volcano.  Mahalo!

Reclusive. If that’s what you want, that’s what you get at the Treehouse. Wonderful art and decors, excellent taste on architetonics mingling with a micro-climate piece of rain forest with no big and unwanted contrast. And it smells wonderful. Flowers everywhere and a special treat at night from the Trumpet Trees and the frog sitting by the artificial lake.

Dave at reception is an excellent conversation buddy, very attentive.
Otherwise, excellent experience very close to Kilauea Volcano and parks, can’t miss it, could really repeat the whole experience anytime!!

It was enjoyable being so near to Volcano National Park and having house guests here at Volcano Hale to talk to! The breakfast at the main lodge was great too! Bob serves the guests well!

We chose this hotel for price and convenience and we liked the look of the online photos. We have not been disappointed at all. Built in 1912 it appears at first glance like the house that Jack built but Jack built a fine home from home. We have felt very welcome here and have been comfortable. We have met some nice people during our stay, too. What could be nicer than living in the Rainforest and being lulled to sleep each night by the local wildlife? Beautiful. We will stay here again and would recommend it. Our six days here have been perfect. Thanks!

The Volcano Hale made our wedding/honeymoon all the more better. The setting is lovely; waking up with the birds and rain is such a nice change from the sounds of traffic. There are tons of things to do right in town: the Volcano Farmer’s Market on Sunday mornings is fantastic! We got so many things for great prices and stuffed ourselves silly. Everyone was warm and accomodating, and staying here made our trip to Big Island complete.

What a lovely and homy place in the rain forest near the Volcanoes NP!
I would come back and would also recommend it to friends.

Staying in the almost 100 yr old house was a great experience.  It was extremely compfortable and a haven away from the hurly burly of the city.  It was also convenient for striking out to the various sights locally.  Would recommend it to anyone who asks.

Honolulu, HI

This was our 2nd stay (1st-Elepaio Room; 2nd-Nene Room both at Volcano Hale), and we loved it and thought it was a fantastic place to stay and relax and enjoy the Big Island. We will defiantly come back. The staff is friendly, warm and full of aloha spirit! They are informative and very helpful! The rooms are simple, comfortable, and very inviting! Our first time we only stayed one night but this trip we stayed for 4 nights. Hope to come back soon! Thanks to Bob in the Dining room for lots of laughter and some great chats!!!
