We stayed for 3 nights in the Volcano Hale. We really enjoyed to live in this beautiful house built in 1912 for a while. It really gives you the feelin of time travel, back to the times of first inhabitants of Volcano Villae. Very relaxed stay with great hosts and other guests. Mahalo!

My wife and I spent two lovely nights here while visiting Volcanoes Park and enjoyed it immensely.  The setting is wonderful with lush foliage and serene pools.  Our room, though one of the smaller ones, was more than adquate and all the amenities one would expect were available.  We enjoyed quiet nights, evenings in the lounge, and greatly appreciated the computer with high speed internet connectivity.  The location is perfect for Volcanoes Park as well as the town of Volcano.  There are a few nice restaurants nearby so one doesn’t have to travel far for dinner.  The cozy breakfast room at the Inn was delightful in the morning and the inexpensive continental breakfast was just right as was the price.  The staff are all warm and welcoming.  This was my second visit here and I would definitely return.

We ended our amazing 10 day trip to Hawaii the Big Island with 2 nights and 3 days at the Volcano National Park and stayed at the Inn in the Africa Room.  The room was perfect, very clean and completely contrary to a review we came across.  The Africa Room is adorned with wonderful African Art, the Queen size bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed to refuel ourselves for our hikes the next day even a flat screen TV!  Also very convenient to have a door to the shared living room where we and friends could review the menus to the available local restaurants (best Thai Restaurant ever) and sip some wine in front of the fireplace.  The Breakfast in the morning was like the old B & B’s used to be!  Great fresh fruit, amazing Bread Pudding, Tea’s and Coffee and a very friendly staff.  Very convenient was also the little kitchen we had outside the room which was shared with a few other rooms but not an issue at all.  Just glad we had a place for our beers, wine and cheese snacks!  We have traveled all over the world and look forward to visiting Hawaii again very soon and will definitely stay and recommend the Inn to anyone bound for Volcanic National Park!  Thanks to all who made our stay such a memorable one!

Truly a unique experience to stay at the Volcano Inn.My family stayed in the Continental Suite.I found it charming. It drizzled with rain the whole time. The park was partially closed due to the air quality so we stayed here, cozy and warmed by the hot tub. My children enjoyed the internet access here in the fasinating Ohana Room. So glad we came here during our 2 week tour of the big island.Loved the afternoon tea!

Chalet Kilauea’s Volcano Hale was the cheapest accommodation in this group and excellent value for money for what we got and compared to what we paid at other locations on the island and islands. A beautifully renovated old house, very cosy and in a lovely green setting. All you would need for a short or long stay. Terrific accommodation and service from David.

Aloha David!
After two weeks of vacation in Hawaii, we arrived back home again, here in Vancouver.  We had some very nice and wonderful days at your place on the Big Island, and on the Island of O’ahu.  The weather was always hot and sunny.  Yes, staying at your beautiful place, made us feel like home.  Our room (Garden Room) was very cozy and your garden is so wonderful, like paradise. The continental breakfast was also very good.  Maybe one day we will stand at your front door again for a visit.
Until then take care
yours
Christel & Alfred
P.S.  Greetings to your wife, and beautiful daughter.
