This is an exquisite, enchanting place set amidst leafy fronds of ferns and hardwoods…it’s so magical that it’s hard to tear oneself away from it. The cheerful welcome and complimentary upgrade to the Continental Suite added that extra special touch which makes a place stand out from others. After a long, hard drive from the north of the island, Chalet Kilauea - The Inn at Volcano was the much needed respite. It’s also located incredibly close to the Volcanoes Park; another reason to stay here. My only regret…that I wasn’t staying here more than one night. I’d thoroughly recommend the Chalet to anyone looking for a truly beautiful place to stay for their visit to this lovely island.

June 2009 Dear David,
What can you say when all is near perfection! Only a candle in the kitchen for our dinner would have added to it. The welcome at the desk by you, and your suggestion for our afternoon activity was so fitting for the weather. The Treehouse suite was so wonderful we decided to “eat in” one evening, and then read on the lovely deck. The great room and its artifacts were most interesting, the 8 foot high vase on the landing was a designer’s delight, and the Jacuzzi was an elegant touch outside while it gently rained. Being able to purchase a bottle of wine at the desk was an added plus. The location with its elegance and access to the activities in Volcano Park was excellent.
Thank you and the others for a memorable time. We have and will continue to recommend you highly to friends traveling to Hawaii island.
